Habitat

Using your graphic organizer from class, write an informational paragraph (5-6 sentences) about what you’ve learned about your animal’s habitat. Be sure to type quality sentences, using the correct grammatical marks. You will be graded on a 4-point scale for this post.

  1. You can find swordfish in any oceans worldwide. They can survive in tropical weathers. They can also survive in the arctic. Is that not amazing!? They can also live any where in the ocean or sea.

  2. Penguins live mostly in the southern hemisphere of the world. One type of penguin lives southwest of Central America! They have bare skin patches for letting out the heat, once again. Most penguins live on Antarctica or in the oceans near it. Penguins can live south of Africa! They can also live along Peru and Chile and in reefs of Australia.

  3. The hooded Seal is found in the western North atlantic. Hooded Seals like to live in the arctic water and sea ice. You can find Hooded Seals in Northfoundland and into the gulf St.Lawrence.

  4. Cheetahs live in the African plains and Asia. You are most likley to see them in the African plains. They live in the African plains usally because the African plains have big tall grasses so the cheetahs can hide in the grasses and also they have camoflage. It is very hot there and there is lots of feasts lurking around so if you're a gazzele, WATCH OUT!!!

  5. Komodo dragons have an extremely harsh environment by human standards. They live on volcanic islands and near the volcanoes on the islands. After a day of hunting, a komodo dragon will dig a burrow where it is and rest for the night. Examples of the islands are Lesser Islands and Komodo Island. Komodo island has an average temp. of 80*F at sea level. A WW1 pilot swam to Komodo Island after falling out of the sky and into the water. Young dragons sleep or rest in trees sometimes. If a komodo dragon is not on Lesser or Komodo Islands, you're sure to find one in the depths of Indonesia.

  6. Tuna live in the worlds oceans. Including the Atlantic Ocean. They live in the Pacific Ocean. They live in the Indian Ocean. They live in the Atlantic Coastal. They live in the Pacific Coastal. Last but not least they live in the Indian Coastal.

  7. The Bush Baby (sometimes called "Lesser" Bush Baby) lives in Southern Africa! Yes, Southern Africa is very common for animals to live in. Also, Bush Babies have a specific place they live in. The place is savannahs and woodlands! Savannahs and wooodlands have LOTS of grass and trees. That helps them eat and live a healthy life!

  9. Sea urchins are usually found in the Pacific coast of the USA. They live in shallow waters but can also live in up to 400 feet of water. Sea urchins live in armies that feed off of kelp, but they also sometimes eat each other. sea urchins also live in rocks,sand,and sea grass.They also live most in china.

  12. A vulture's habitat depends on it's type. New World vultures live in the Americas. Old World vultures live in Europe, Asia, and Africa. If you want to see a vulture, look in warm and tropical places. Check cliffs first, it's the common place for a vulture to nest.

  13. The King Cobra live in many plains,such as India,southern China, southeast Asia.Also,the philippines.But even if their is not much water,animals have many adaptations. So their is there are many things to eat!

  14. The mole lives in Europe, Asia, North America. But the main spot is in the coniforest forest. The mole spends most of its time under ground. So predators can't come and eat them. More common spots are fields, meadows, pastures, lawns and a forest.

  15. As you know, bats live in dark caves. They also are found in colonies. Something you did not know was that bats live worldwide,except the tropics! One place they live is the United states. I learned that not all bats live in dark caves. Some can live outdoors!

  16. Glow worms are usually found in grassy areas and hedges. They especially like chalky and rocky areas. There are certain types of glow worms that live in caves. They are mainly nocturnal. The flying males sometimes like coming to street and house lights. They think it is a female.

  17. A hedehog can live in diferent places!they can live in gardens in Europe mostly.Some african hedgehogs can be sneeking anywhere at night.Only at night because they are nocturnal.Some hedgehogs can be in North America, Europe, South America and Africa.Have you seen a hedgehog near you?

  18. There are many species of Spitting Cobra. For example, the RedSpitting Cobra is found in the dry savanna and semi-desert areas of Kenya and Sudan of Eastern Africa. The Black necked Cobra lives in grasslands in western central and southern Africa. It sometimes enters the city and villages scaring the people who live there!

  19. Cheetahs live in their natural habitat, the African Plains. But, they don' just live in the African Plains, they also live in the Asian lands. But, thats really rare. They live in the African Plains to hide in the long grasses but not to hide from preadators because number one, they don't have any. But they hide for food.

  20. Cheetahs live where it is warm and has REALLY TALL GRASSFIELDS! Guess where. If you guessed North Carolina, You are..........WRONG! Also North Carolina has no EXTREMLY TALL GRASSES! It is Africa. The perfect place for a Cheetah to live.

  21. Yum Yum! That Gazelle should be my supper tonight! He cannot see me because my fur blends into the EXTREMELY TALL GRASSES! Okay i'm going to make a run for it. 1,2,3, GO! Wow! This Gazelle is fast! Okay, you want to play a game i'll get you one! 3 hours later. That was a YUMMY supper. I'll go to sleep now. ZZZZZZZZ......
